I was a healthy, active, very busy 40-year-old mom, wife, and daughter. Lung cancer was nowhere on my radar. I was diagnosed with stage IV adenocarcinoma with metastasis to my bones on September 27, 2011. My life has taken a drastic change in the last 5 years, but not all of it has been bad.
I now have a much less stressful life, and get to spend most of my time with my family and supporting other survivors in their journey. God had another plan for my life and I believe that’s why I’m still here. The wonderful advances in research have allowed me to help others and to inspire hope that it is possible to really LIVE with lung cancer.
